You need the freshest, best omega oils 3, 6, and 9 to function optimally.
Fats facilitate signaling between cells to keep the body healthy, so buy only the best quality olive oil because truly “you are what you eat.”
Here’s what to look for on the labels:
Virginity: refers to the mashing method of oil extraction that makes all extra-virgin and virgin oils cold-pressed, also called first-pressed.
Extra-virgin uses higher quality olives that are picked and packaged within 24 hours- get this!
Purity: When you see this on the label, it is an indicator the manufacture is of a lower grade, due to its extraction process- don’t get this!
Filtration: simply means some manufacturer’s process captures tiny bits and pieces, making the oil slightly cloudy. Use unfiltered withing 6 months, buy filtered otherwise.
Our rule of thumb to play it extra-safe is to only buy in dark glass or metal with a tight seal (exposure to air and light shortens its shelf life) and most of all only buy olive oil with an expiration stamped on the label.
Nutrition, exercise, and choosing healthy lifestyle habits, along with finding some special time for yourself each day are the cornerstones of consideration when we evaluate your condition and come up with a treatment plan for you.
