Introduction
When we launched our website into the ocean of social networking at the dawn of the social media age, the sophisticated changes have challenged us to move forward. Much of the information we wrote was foundational and remains unchanged.
We have articles with foundational knowledge. Once you have the facts on nutrition and body systems you’re able to discern for yourself what you need to do to get better and maintain your health.
Sometimes we share with you the system of knowledge known as Traditional Chinese Medicine, a common sense medicine that spans over 2 millennia.
The 21st century has been full of strife for many, and as anxiety escalates we can see that anger, fear, and frustration are part of everyday living. As people turn to anti-anxiety and anti-depression drugs to cope, acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine provides a natural alternative treatment.
Acupuncture is truly a tried-and-true method that addresses these states successfully, which gives great comfort. One-on-one, in the treatment room, we customize ways you can navigate these emotions and come out on the other side. There are so many ways to get unstuck.
While it’s qualitatively better to speak in person, we’ve written and will continue to write about ways to relieve stress along with general health tips, ideas about nutrition, and information pertaining to exercise. Nutrition and exercise are two arena where you can nourish yourself every day and knowing more helps stay on track.
We throw in some philosophy sometimes to provide context, but one’s world view is so personal, that we hope you read these with an open mind and take it with a grain of salt.
Lastly, we are dedicated to integrative medicine, bringing eastern and western medicine together, and touch upon research studies of note with brief summaries.
Eastern medicine treats so many diverse conditions because it compels responses from multiple body systems. That is, there is an orderly process that occurs with the introduction of the needles into the body, even as superficially as they are indeed inserted, a quarter inch or less most of the time. We write about this in depth, with an overview of the nervous system that rolls out into greater and greater detail.
And sometimes we’ll simply repost articles on any of these subjects, so we invite you to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn for new information as it rolls out in this hyperactive, super-connected world.
