
This superfood smoothie packs a nutritional punch and is thick so it satisfies the appetite, too.
Full of fruit and nutrients, we’ve crafted a smoothie using three kinds of fruit: cherries, blueberries, and banana. Then we sneak in a superfood that complement the distinctive flavors, rendering it so thick you’ll need a spoon, if only to slow down and enjoy every drop.
Added bonus: you get a boost from the abundant anti-oxidants in this recipe!
Yields: 2 servings in 12 oz. glasses filled to the brim.
Ingredients:
1 C blueberries (fresh or frozen)
2 T any green superfood product
1 C cherries (pitted fresh or frozen)
2 tsps chia seeds
2 bananas, ripened
2 tsps milled flax seeds
2 T coconut flakes
2 tsps nutritional yeast
½ C soy, rice, or almond milk
2 tsps lecithin
½ C plain Greek yogurt, 0% fat
1. Slice bananas into a blender and add the milk liquid; puree until smooth.
2. Add the blueberries and cherries and puree or liquefy.
3. Add yogurt and all other ingredients and blend until everything is well incorporated.
4. Enjoy
